Cambered Strength & Conditioning (CSC) understands the importance of your privacy and will ensure that the way your personal information is collected, used and disclosed complies with the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). 

The Privacy Policy described here pertains to the website, products and services offered by CSC and does not apply to any third parties that may be linked or referenced in any way.

PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. CSC takes all reasonable steps to keep secure Personal Information recorded and to keep this information accurate and up to date. The Personal Information is stored on secure servers if in digital format, or in locked areas if in hardcopy format. CSC will take all reasonable steps and measures to ensure your Personal Information is secure and protected from unauthorised access, unauthorised modification, unauthorised disclosure, misuse and loss. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify your Personal Information wherever possible. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files, which will be kept by us for a minimum of 5 years. 

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION

CSC may collect Personal Information in many forms. Typically, the information collected is from online enquiries when submitting information via the Contact page on our website as you are asked to provide your name, email and phone number. Also, Personal Information will be requested during the preliminary process prior to starting your training and programs with CSC.

Once an individual decides to acquire the services of CSC, we collect their Personal Information in the form of a health/medical questionnaire and through a comprehensive screening process. This allows us to make an initial assessment to identify any risk factors or health conditions to assist with exercise prescription, training and programming. You will be requested to supply things such as; your age, weight, gender, contact information, previous medical and injury history and other personal health information as part of this pre-program screening process.

In some cases if you choose not to supply particular information requested by CSC, we may not be able to provide the product or service you have requested.

PERSONAL INFORMATION USAGE

CSC will use the information collected for the purpose in which it was intended, such as:

  • To create tailored and individualised strength & conditioning programs

  • To contact you about your program and training

  • To notify you if there is a change in program details, a change in venue, or cancellation

  • To manage your dealings with us as a CSC client

  • To administer and manage accounts (e.g. billing)

  • To provide information about new products, services or benefits

  • To aid internal reporting and analysis, to better understand our customers

  • To be able to respond to inquiries or complaints

  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and enforce our legal rights.

CSC may also contact you for marketing purposes that we believe may interest you via email, SMS, MMS or other electronic mediums

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about things such as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information. Sensitive information will only ever be used by us for the primary purpose for which it was obtained; to provide services to program participants. Such information will not be used or disclosed for any other purposes without consent, except in exceptional cases when disclosure may be required by law, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CSC. It may also be disclosed to lessen a serious threat to a person's health or safety. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy sensitive information is a subset of personal information

MAINTAINING THE QUALITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

CHILDREN UNDER 18

CSC does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, it is advised that ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

DATA STORAGE

Some of your personal information may be stored via online storage as CSC may use Google Apps for Business, which is a cloud based solution to manage items such as documents, spread sheets, and email

WEBSITE STATISTICS

CSC may automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the CSC website

Using this service requires the setting of first-party cookies on a user's computer which help generate meaningful reports about website visitors. The information stored is anonymous.
